Abstract: With the increasing use of computers in various fields,how to construct and expand a computer network system has become a problem that many departments want to solve.This paper gives some descriptions about the principles of components in the network and some related network proto- cols.Methods of improving LAN performance via changing network architecture and some questions that have to be considered in network construction are also pointed out.
