Abstract: This paper presents the design and implementation of a multimedia data sharing system in a heterogeneous environment. Based on a client/server model, this system provides multimedia data sharing and file access on heterogeneous platforms.The experiment results show it is a feasible multimedia data sharing system with a lower cost property.
