    结合H.263与SLCCA的新的极低比特率小波视频编码

    A NEW VERY LOW BIT RATE WAVELET VIDEO CODING COMBINED WITH H.263 AND SLCCA

    • 摘要: 小波对于静止图像编码取得了巨大成功 ,但对于视频编码只有少数较为成功的尝试 .提出一种针对极低比特率应用的新的结合 H.2 6 3与 SL CCA的混合小波视频编码算法 .在提出的算法中 ,首先 ,用基于 H.2 6 3的微调运动估计减少时间冗余 ,用无遗漏覆盖块运动补偿保证运动补偿误差帧的连续性 ;第 2 ,对运动补偿误差帧进行小波变换得到全局能量压缩 ;第 3,用 SL CCA组织和表示小波变换后的数据 ;最后 ,运动向量的水平和垂直分量分别用自适应算法编码 .算法在 A级测试序列 A kiyo和 B级测试序列 Foreman(QCIF)上测试取得了良好效果 .

       

      Abstract: In this paper, a new hybrid wavelet video coding algorithm combined with H.263 and SLCCA for very low bit rate application is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, first, fine tuned motion estimation of H.263 is used to reduce temporal redundancy, and exhaustive overlapped block motion compensation is used to ensure the coherency in motion compensation error frames. Second, wavelet transform is applied in the motion compensation error frames to achieve global energy compaction. Third, the wavelet coefficients are organized and represented by SLCCA. Last, the horizontal and vertical components of motion vectors are encoded by adaptive arithmetic coding. The proposed algorithm is tested on both Class A sequences Akiyo and Class B sequences Foreman (QCIF) and satisfactory performance is obtained.
