Abstract:
This paper is concerned with how to construct an integrated application within a service grid environment in a just-in-time manner. A novel approach is proposed, which facilitates the construction of integrated applications by allowing business users to directly organize their service resources and cost-effectively configure their applications through easy operations, such as drag-and-drop. Also proposed are a corresponding framework supporting the description, registry and conglomeration of semantic business services, and business-oriented service composition based on a convergent component model. Using a real-world project called FLAME 2008 as an example, the potentials of applying this approach for constructing business applications are also analyzed.
