Abstract: Searching information on the WWW effectively is an important field in the Internet study. A new approach to intelligent search for information on the Internet is proposed, which can find out the Web pages from the insides of the Web sites having similar organization and content descriptions. A new knowledge representation about the searching, which combines the relation descriptions between the Web pages in a Web site with the Web page content descriptions, is used not only to find out the target page from the Web sites’ insides, but also to acquire new search knowledge automatically based on the search processes and the final results. The initial experiment shows that this new search method performs quite well while searching for the target Web pages from the similar Web sites’ insides.
