    一种基于SCI的高效输入队列分配协议

    AN EFFICIENT INPUT QUEUE ALLOCATION PROTOCOL FOR SCI

    • 摘要: SCI(scalablecoherentinterface)是IEEE于1992年通过的高速互联标准,它为机群系统的互联提供了一个高效、经济、可扩展的解决方案.为了更有效地利用SCI标准提供的高带宽,文中对标准中的输入队列分配协议——A/B年龄协议(A/Bagingprotocol)进行了深入分析,并提出了一种改进方案:智能A/B年龄协议.文中还讨论了改进方案的实现及性能.智能A/B年龄协议的3个主要优点是:有效地提高了带宽利用率;发送包的平均服务延迟明显降低;引入非常少的硬件开销.分析结果表明,系统阻塞越严重,智能A/B年龄协议所获得的改进效果越显著.

       

      Abstract: SCI(scalable coherent interface) is a high speed interconnect standard approved by IEEE in 1992. It provides a high performance, cost effective, and scalable solution to the interconnection of cluster systems. In order to fully utilize the high raw bandwidth of SCI, a more efficient input queue allocation protocol, Called intelligent A/B aging protocol is proposed. The implementation and performance evaluation of the intelligent A/B aging protocol is also given. It notably increases the bandwidth utilization and shortens the average service delay of send packets. The analysis shows that thd intelligent A/B aging protocol improves performance more significantly as the workload of the system increases.
