Abstract: Knowledge engineering restimulates computer scientists' interest in machine learning. It is found that the methods of learning by analogy (LA) may become an important technology for the inter-and extra-polation of knowledge. To unearth the new usages of existing technologies of LA, and explore the probability of enhancing their realistic value, this paper introduces emphatically a LA method——learning through simile.
