Abstract: We first discuss the core technology of the multimedia technology,and promulgate that the multimedia human-computer interface and the multimedia synchronistic model are the key of the multimedia technology. Then we analyze three most popular multimedia synchronistic models and point out their advantages and disadvantages. We give the features of an ideal multimedia synchronistic model in four aspects-the features of multimedia program and display, the requirement of multimedia facility interface, O-O technology, and visualizing program. Based on these features, a new model-multimedia synchronistic model with two levels is proposed. Finally, we introduce its working process and discuss its advantages and disadvantages.
