Abstract: This paper first describes the definition and classification of client/server briefly.Then we discuss the integrating tool of voice-picture-text based on client/server, i.e. TUBEN system implemented in heterogeneous network. And finally we give the implementation details of the asynchronous transfer service, which is the cornerstone of TUBEN system.
