Abstract: Here introduced is the implementation of data loader PDL in the parallel database system PARO. Two basic operations are implemented: Input Split and Collect Insert. On the basis of these two operations and data partitioning scheme, two loading models are explored, which can load external tables from the foreground host or multiple background processing nodes. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of PDL.
