Abstract: This paper introduces a diagrammatical design tool applied for large-scale,real-time and concurrent software design, i. e.,Design Structure Diagram. It is morestructurized and more expressive, and reflects more deeply some fundamental principlesof software engineering than other diagrammatical tools.
