Abstract: This paper presents the major design and implementation techniques of a cooperative authoring system for large-storage document based on Chinese hypermedla.Especially, it discusses some key techniques with specific features in the new generationo f hypermedia system, and in our system, techniques such as autolinking for hyperlinks, Chinese processing techniques, especially in fast text retrieval, distributive andcooperative authoring, and visualized document catalog organization and management.
