Abstract:
For layered video multicast in heterogeneous and dynamic networks, an adaptive layered video encoding mechanism based on merging feedback is presented, which is used to solve the problem of variation in network bandwidth constraints, and an active filtering technology in the network is introduced for solving the heterogeneous problem. The responsibility, scalability, and bandwidth utilization of the adaptive mechanism are evaluated. The results indicate that the adaptive mechanism is capable of providing a high quality and adaptive layered video multicast service with very high scalability and responsibility.
