Abstract:
Research and development of theories, models and products of network management are tightly associated with the development of corresponding disciplines in computer and communication network areas. Distributed and intelligent network management is the inevitable trend, which requires current architectures to integrate key technologies such as Web, Java, distributed object and multi-agent system. However, it is easy to find that the urgent need is to explore or solve the problem of information modeling, while analyzing the existing standards and systems of network management. CIM model of DMTF and SMIng, which is proposed by IRTF, are significant directions, and both can be mapped into XML modules with concise syntax and rich semantics. Therefore, RDF of W3C makes it possible to set up knowledge models of network management, which has been testified in certain prototypes of multi-agent-based network management systems.
