Abstract: This paper presents a management information system HC-MIS for a machinery enterprise——Hangzhou Fork Lift Truck Plant.The principles of system development,the analysis of information flow,and the goals,the functions and the characteristics of the system have been given in detail.And then,from the view of system analysis and system design,the production management information subsystem HC-PMIS has been described.How to apply modern methods and tools of software engineering in the development of MIS is also the topic discussed.
