Abstract: SOL is a standard relational database query language.Based on the relational algebraand tuple calculus,we defined an extended tuple relational expression which can express aggregatefunctions,group operation,and nested subquery of SOL.By transforming SOL into extended tuplerelational expression,we can study its semantics and query optimization.
