Abstract: In this paper, the hardware and software environment of a graphics-text communication system in the heterogeneous network is presented. The graphics-text information-united encoded standard -Chinese character page description language in network is discussed. The implementation method to edit, encode, store, transform, display and print graphics-text information is described in detail.
