Abstract: ATM （Asynchronous Transfer Mode）,regarded as the technology of the 21st century,will have great impact on telecommunications around the world.In order to make full advantage of this attractive technology,one necessary step is to extend ATM directly to desktops.The total solution to a kind of ATM communication terminal equipments is introduced here,with emphasis on its basic hardware architecture,NDIS 5 0 Miniport Driver design and high level software implementation.Some examples of its functions and applications are also presented briefly.
