    红血球和疟原虫的计算机自动识别及计数

    Automatic Recognition and Counting of Malaria Parasites and Red Cells Using a Computer

    • 摘要: 本文给出了计算机图象识别的一种新算法,用它对血样中的红血球和疟原虫进行自动识别和计数,可为生物医学中的药物研究,疟疾的预防、诊断及生物体的免疫等研究提供一种省时、省力的自动化系统。文中给出了传统的互相关识别算法的应用,并作了比较。对这一算法的实验系统作了介绍。

       

      Abstract: The author studied various blood samples and developed a new auto- recgnition and counting algorithm to count and analyze healthy red cells and parasitized red cells in blood smear taken at different infection stages using a PDP 11/34 colour image processing system. The developed new algorithm has been written in FORTRAN 77 and compared with the common registration algorithm.The results show the new method is much faster and more feasible than the registration method which needs large memory that PDP 11/34 can not afford to process a 512×512×8bit image.
