Abstract: In this paper a very important kind of inference rule is analyzed in detail, and a recursive backward inference algorithm which executes inference on this kind of rule is also presented. Based on the algorithm, the author has successfully developed a medical diagnosis system for the contagious diseases and the diseases of the oligstive system, the blood-circulating system and the neural system.
