Abstract: According to the importance of shot segmentation in content\|based video index system, common methods in shot segmentation are introduced in this paper. Then, one shot segmentation method——an automatic threshold detection method in video shot segmentation and classification is presented, which can classify video shots such as break, gradual etc. efficiently. Experiments show that this method can provide satisfactory shot segmentation results in common video data.
