Abstract: In this paper, the operations and implementation of complex objects in a network CAD/CAM-orientated DBMS——MEDAMS 2.0 are discussed in detail. In MEDAMS 2.0, the concepts of mono-body structure object, multi-body structure object and variant structure object are introduced to support the complex object, and with these concepts, the problems of both the generalization and the multiple representation of complex objects are solved,
