An Expert System Approach to Database Design

摘要: 本文提出一种数据库设计的新方法——专家系统方法。该设计方法是以一个基于知识的系统或专家系统为基础的。我们在 IBMPC 上用 TURBO PROLOG 语言定义,并实现了一个特定的专家系统 ERGTORS,其知识库由一个描绘应用的语义网络(或实体-关系图,简称 ERG)和一组能使系统把语义网络转换成关系数据库关系的产生式规则组成。作为例子,我们给出了用ERGTORS 作为设计工具,由给定的实体关系图生成的一组关系数据库的关系。Abstract: Abstract:In this paper,we propose a new approach to database design——Expert System Approach based on a knowledge-based system or an expert system.A specific expert system,called ERGTORS,is defined and implemented with TURBO PROLOG on IBM PC and its knowledge base is composed of a semantic network(ERG)portraying the application and a set of production rules for transforming the semantic network (ERG)into a set of relations of relational databases.With ERGTORS as a design tool, we present a set of resulting relations produced from a given ERG.
