Abstract: Based on the abstraction and reconstruction of data types, this paper analyzes and evaluates the evolutional process and its necessity of programming languages. It also discusses some fundamental problems to be solved when the object-oriented programming is carried on. The state-of-the-art and the approaches to OOP applications in two major subjects, namely the database system and artificial intelligence, are also introduced.
