Abstract: Track density can be greatly enhanced by employing optical servo technologylp a disk drive. Our method is to record highly-precise mAgnetic or non-magnetic servopatterns on the disk by the technology of photoetching, and to read the servo information by the same magnetic head. An optical recording system is designed in this paper torecord the servo patterns. The system can perform 6350TPI recording for the disk.
