    大规模分布式系统的一种层次式命名方案

    A HIERARCHICAL NAMING SCHEME FOR LARGE\|SCALE DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

    • 摘要: 针对大规模分布式系统中对象迁移、网络和系统动态重构的要求,文中介绍了一种层次式的命名和编址方案,它将对位置透明的标识(OID)和表示位置的地址(OAD)二者结合起来标识对象.从局部唯一的ID和地址出发构造全局ID和地址,它们是相对表示,当在命名上下文中传送时被转换,从而保证了ID的唯一性,也缩短了对象标识符的大小.尤其在网络和系统动态重构时,其优点更为突出,用户无需了解对象地址的改变就可进行正确通信,实现了位置透明性.文中还就命名方案的实现问题进行了探讨

       

      Abstract: To meet the requirements of object migration and dynamic reconfiguration of networks and systems in large scale distributed systems, a hierarchical naming and addressing scheme is proposed, which uses location independent IDs and addresses representing objects’ location to identify objects. The scheme constructs global IDs and addresses from locally unique ones. They have relative representations, which are translated if they are transmitted among naming contexts. This ensures the uniqueness of IDs and shortens the size of IDs. The scheme also realizes the location transparency with respect to host migration and network reconfiguration. Implementation issues of this scheme are also disscussed.
