Abstract: This paper presents the design of a Chinese Character manuscript Processing System （CCPS）.The system can run on microcomputer and does not need any support by Chinese-western ch- aracter operating system.It can directly manage all resources of hardware and software and has an independent code system.With an intelligent Chinese character input method available,the system has a powerful ability to process Chinese manuscript.It is suited to secretaries,editors and reporters.
