Abstract:
Mobile agent needs to migrate to several hosts for accomplishing its task. Migration strategy is responsible for planning out an optimal migration path, which ensures mobile agent to complete its task correctly and efficiently. In this paper, the concept of itinerary graph and three migration strategies based on itinerary are presented. Itinerary graph can describe the migration semantics and reflect the changes of environment where mobile agent lives. Mobile agent with itinerary graph can perceive these changes, react immediately, modify migration path autonomously, and accomplish its task according to certain specified criteria, embodying the reactivity and autonomy of agent. These migration strategies can also avoid migration failure caused by network disconnection or node crashing.
