Abstract: YH-MMDT is a multimedia development toolkit based on the object--orientation technology, hypertext technology and the characteristics of hypermedia works. Anew model for the management of hypermedia works, i. e., WNCH model, is proposed.Based on this model, the node object is taken as the fundamental information component, the content object is used to express the different media of information, and thehot spot object is applied to support the hyper link functions, thus making successfulthe implementation of a hypermedia works management system.In this paper, the characteristics of hypermedia works are analysed first and, thenthe WNCH model is described. Finally, the management functions and techniques of YH-MMDT are discussed.
