Abstract: This paper studies the organization theory and technology of RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks beginning with its storage channel model. After describing the whole system, we analyze the generation of the redundant unit and error check/correction, and data stripping and synchronizing. Disks’ workload balance is also discussed.
