Abstract: A method of accessing parallel computing environments of a remote SP2 based on Web/proxy is described in this paper. By this method, interactive operations in real time are replaced by batching operations, so as to overcome the difficulty of long time of response from the SP2, which is due to the limited network bandwidth, and to simplify operations of users on the SP2 greatly. Some issues in the design and implementation, especially the security problem, including the use of virtual accounts, legal check, authority of accessing the local file system, crypto communication, signed Applet, and the implementation of user’s login/registration, forming/controlling files of jobs and the proxy, are discussed in detail.
