Abstract: NPS 1 a general purpose digital neural network processor slice has been designed.It has the features of simple structure to be embedded in the system,and is easy to program for simulation of many neural network models.NPS 1 has been fabricated in FPGA,which is composed of ten thousand gates.Many applications for the chip have been developed,which demonstrate that the design and implementation of the chip are correct.
