Abstract:
Making use of idle cycles of computers connected to the Internet, network computing platform achieves high throughput with low cost. The design of HowU Network Computing Platform is presented. Accepting multiple applications allows institutions or enterprises to set up their own experiments on HowU Network Platform. High performance is ensured by scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, efficient scheduling, and a large base of volunteers. The implementation of a typical distributed application running on HowU Network Computing Platform is also presented.
