Abstract: Although it is inevitable to combine multiprocessor with UNIX,problems may arise in the process of its implementation because UNIX is not originally designed for multiprocessor systems. In this paper,the problems are discussed and the solutions are proposed in aspects of the mutual exc- lusion,synchronization and communication between processes,the schedule of multiple tasks and the memory management.
