Abstract: This paper presents an intelligent information dictionary system（IIDS）.First,the design for IIDS is discussed in detail.It includes:（1）the context of IIDS,（2）The function for this system,（3）The research projects for the system in the near future.IIDS is modelled as a prototyoe of implementing the object-orlented semantic association data model in CIM environment（CIM-OSA DM）.A semantic schema for IIDS is given to illustrate the logical structure of IIDS.There are three kinds of meta-object class:leaf node,unleafnode and Composed domain node.To control and desc- ribe the IIDS,the directory is used.In addition,IIDS has a version control function.Finally,based on an object-oriented programming language C++（2.0）,the mechanism of implementing HDS is explaind.
