Abstract: The performance of the mixed static and dynamic interconnection network assumed in THUDS distributed computer system is analyzed The formulas for calculating the message delay time and the maximum throughput in the network are derived and the performance comparison with static interconnection network is made The analysis shows that the mixed static and dynamic interconnection network: with only a little cost increase, is superior to static interconnection network.
