Abstract: For a long time,programming languages and database management systems have developed seperately in their own way. With the development of computer application, the abilities of persistent data management in database systems and powerful data processing in programming languages need to be combined together.Here introduced is a persistent object management system,POMS, which is developed on the basis of Borland C++ version 3.1 and CodeBase version 4.5. The design,implementation, and application of POMS are also discussed.
