Abstract: The introduction of function terms in a logic data language can enhance its semantics.However, this also causes some problems. The safety conditions for rules inDatalog are no longer effective. In this paper, new safety conditions to ensure the safecomputation of rules with function terms are proposed. They are convenient to identifyand can be easily implemented in a logic data language system.
