Abstract: A reasonable definition of MMDB（main memory database） is given first and then an available physical real time MMDB organization is proposed based on the characteristics of real time data and transactions and the properties of different types of storage. Strategies of data placement and data swapping between the main and secondary storages are discussed in detail.
