Abstract: The inner representation schemes of knowledge bases in the form of rule-based productions and the design of knowledge acquisition engine and inference engine based on each inner representation scheme are studied in this paper. Three inner representation forms and a backward reasoning procedure are given in Turbo-PROLOG in detail.
