Abstract: Abstract:The compression of two-tone images is an important topic with wide application.Based on existent adaptive WBS approach,two schemes about updating its time complexity and compression ratio are discussed in this paper.Corresponding to some application problems,other practical advanced schemes are presented,such as,combining compression with filter operators,utilizing image sequences and replacing original image with featural pictures.
