Abstract: Mach is an operating system kernel which supports tightly-coupled and loosely-coupled multiprocessors hardware. In this paper, the innovation, history and main concepts of Mach are discussed in detail. The implementaion of Mach is described in some degrees. For more clarity, the simple comparison of Mach with UNIX is also presented.
