Abstract: In this paper,we present a kind of deductive image database system model——IIDBSMand describe its design and building techniques.IIDBSM uses a pictorial object-oriented and extend-ed relational model involving some abstract data types such as frames.It utilizes the deductive andreasoning mechanism in PROLOG to express the relationship of the intented facts as rules and gua-rantees the integrity constraints and performs controlling functions with productive rules to support theretrieve,update,maintenance and other deductive database performances on image information.
