Abstract: HG-Prolog system implements programming language Prolog in Pascal on MV-8000 computer. It consists of two passes: preprocessing and interpreting. In this paper, the key techniques for efficiency are described. They are: preprocessing, linear unifying, storing control information and data in stack manner. The successful running of example programs shows the high efficiency and usability of HG-Prolog system. This system is now in use.
