An Introduction and Treatment of User-Defined Data Types and Operators in Relational Database

摘要: 扩充传统DBMS的功能,以适应各种应用领域,已经引起人们高度的重视。本文提出了一种扩充关系DBMS 以支持用户定义数据类型及操作的原理和方法,讨论了引入用户定义数据类型及操作后对DBMS 的影响,并介绍了一种基于数据字典的实现方案。

Abstract: To be applicable to various application fields,great attention has been paid to extendedtraditional DBMS's functions.In this paper,we propose the principle and method of an extendedrelational DBMS supporting user-defined data types and operators,discuss the effect of introducinguser-defined data types and operators upon DBMS,and present an implementation schema based ondata dictionary.
