Abstract: This paper surveys the developmental process and the methods about constructing 3-D solid objects from three-view drawings. Several problems about recognition are presented. The reasons and the solutions of these problems are analyzed. It is pointed out that a great deal of work need to be done, so that the recognition of three-view drawings can be more practical, and can be used more widely.
