    基于包对采样的IP网络时延变化测量方法

    An IPDV Measurement Method Based-on Packet-Pair Sampling

    • 摘要: 时延变化是反映网络路径负载特征的IP网络性能指标 基于路径排队模型 ,发现时延变化对负载的反映受探测包发送时间间隔影响 因参考时延选取不当及采样方式限制 ,现有方法所测时延变化只粗略反映路径负载 提出了包对采样方法选取恰当参考时延 ,避免采样方式限制 ,增强了时延变化反映路径负载的能力 ;同时确定了探测包发送时间间隔的下界 对一条Internet路径的实测验证了包对采样所测时延变化对路径负载的较强反映能力和探测包发送时间间隔对这种反映能力的影响

       

      Abstract: IPDV is an important performance metric of IP network which reflects network path’s workload characteristics. Based on a path queueing model, it is found that the reflection IPDV has on path workload is influenced by the interval of probes’ sending time; the IPDV measured by the existing method just reflects path workload superficially for inappropriately selected reference delay and the limitations of the sampling method. The packet-pair sampling measurement method proposed can improve the reflection capability by selecting the proper reference delay and avoiding the limitations of the sampling method; What is also determined is the minimum interval between the two packets in a packet pair. Experiments on an Internet path validate the improved reflection capability of the packet-pair sampling method and the interval time’s influence on it.
