Abstract: This paper introduces the Cross-Design Method(C.D.M.)into the test and design of CVT,which has been used widely in many fields such as chemical engineering,metallurgical industry,and agriculture.The C.D.M.can overcome the defect of the blindness in the old design method.It has been proved that the best design can be made from fewer times of tests with the C.D.M..
