Abstract: An approach for volume rendering of irregular data field by exploiting pixel coherence is given. In this approach, the image space is partitioned, and intersection is accomplished by using a scan conversion method in each subspace. The correct composition order of intersection point pairs is obtained by regulating them on the basic visible order.
