Abstract: Studied in this paper is the application of subdivision surfaces to the field of surfaces modeling, especially to skinning surfaces modeling. With the introduction of the subdivision scheme into the traditional construction process of skinning surfaces, the proposed method can avoid the rapid increase in data, which is caused by the process of cross-section curves compatibility. The generated skinning surface can interpolate the predefined cross-section curves and have creases on the specified curves.
